How to fast after Ramadan

Question: I couldn't fast this Ramadan as I’m experiencing the last days of my pregnancy. How should I make my intention for fasting after Ramadan? Which days should I not fast?

Muslims who couldn’t fast during Ramadan for the reasons of illness and journey fast his/her remaining days whenever he/she finds the chance. According to a narration from our mother Aisha; we see that when she had lacked her fast for the causes of illness or journey, she used to fast her remaining days in next year’s Shaban[1] and enter new Ramadan without any debt. (Muslim, Siyam, 151 (1146); Muwatta, Siyam, 54 (1308); Abu Dawood, Sawm, 40)

You can fast your remaining days in winter for some easiness.

There is no special way to intend. Knowing what you do is enough for intention. And you do not have to fast successively.
