Question: I want to get into partnership with my friend on his shop. I am going to invest 10.000$ and I would like him to pay me 1000$ monthly. I will not involve in profit or loss. Is it permissible to make such a partnership?
Such a partnership would not be permissible. Gained money would be “interest”.
If one likes to make a partnership, he needs to buy agreed amount of shares in return of agreed amount of money. They share the profit in agreed ratios if the company gains any. Similar rule applies in case of loss, and both sides take the loss as of agreed ratios.
